There are some of those comments that get through Akismet, and that really makes you want to blow a fuse, or something. If you really want to get those backlinks in those comments, just like you’ve said, one has to give it some effort. Saying “thank you” or some sugarcoated “nice post” wouldn’t cut it at all.

I use the Baclink Checker. It is quite easy to use and straight forward. it gives you a complete list of the domains linking to your site.
